As teachers we are faced with many choices of ‘what’ and ‘how’ to teach. What we do know, is that we need to keep our students engaged in the learning prrocess. One way we can do that is to get a little bit more lexical. Students like words! Getting lexical doesn’t mean you have to ditch all the things you have been doing but maybe you can switch the emphasis. This short workshop will introduce you to some ideas that can be incorporated into your existing teaching practice that will expand your students’ use of ‘chunks’ and in the process improve their natural english and enhance their fluency.
