1. “Design Your Own Cypriot Cat” – Art Workshop In this creative art workshop, students get to explore their imagination and cultural heritage by designing their own version of the famous Cypriot cat. Cyprus is known for its historical connection to cats, and in this workshop, students will use various materials like clay, paint, or digital tools to create unique artistic representations of this iconic animal. From traditional to futuristic designs, this activity fosters creativity while providing insight into the island’s unique feline history. 2. “12 Works of Hercules” – Sports Event Inspired by the legendary feats of the Greek hero Hercules, this fun and challenging sports event lets students compete in 12 Hercules-themed physical activities. Each challenge represents one of the hero’s famous labors, such as a strength test (lifting or pushing heavy objects), agility courses, or endurance trials. The event promotes teamwork, fitness, and friendly competition, as participants channel their inner demigod to complete each task and strive for victory. 3. “Greek Gods Parade” – Design Your Own Greek God In this interactive and artistic event, students dive into ancient mythology by designing their very own Greek god. They’ll create costumes, backstories, and powers for their characters, drawing inspiration from well-known deities like Zeus, Athena, or Poseidon. During the parade, students will showcase their creations in a grand procession, sharing their god’s unique traits and stories with their peers. This dynamic quiz game tests students’ knowledge about the rich history, geography, and culture of Malta and Cyprus. In a fast-paced, trivia-style competition, teams will answer questions ranging from historical events and famous landmarks to local traditions and modern-day facts. The format is inspired by game shows, with opportunities to “bet” points on their answers, adding an element of strategy to the fun. The event promotes learning in an engaging and interactive way, encouraging students to deepen their understanding of these two Mediterranean countries.
