Philosophical Society of Macedonia
The Philosophical Society of Macedonia will join the celebration of Erasmus Days 2025 with an activity to be held on October 14, 2025 (Tuesday) at Primary School “Petar Pop Arsov” – Skopje, starting at 9:00 a.m.
The activity will be a demonstration class in the subject Philosophy for Children with students from the 5th grade, conducted by teachers Tatjana Georgievska and Simona Petkovska Ilievska, who were trained within the Erasmus+ project SOPHIE, dedicated to introducing and developing the Philosophy for Children (P4C) program in primary education.
The class will take place in a school where this form of teaching has not been implemented before, with the aim of encouraging interest in introducing philosophical thinking and dialogue from the earliest educational levels.
The subject Philosophy for Children represents an innovative approach to the educational process, which, through dialogue, critical and creative thinking, encourages children to ask questions, think independently, and learn in the spirit of democratic and European values.
With this activity, we aim to promote the European dimension in education, the benefits of the Erasmus+ program, and to foster cooperation among schools and educational organizations towards modern, open, and humane educational practices.
Through such initiatives, we affirm the importance of philosophical education as a foundation for the development of critical, responsible, and engaged citizens, ready to participate in a society based on knowledge and democratic values.
