"Odyssey: Οxford debates for Youths in Science education" is a European Erasmus+ KA2 project that seeks to develop 13- to 19-year-olds argumentation skills and to increase interest in STEM subjects by organising debate competitions on science topics. During the training event that will take place on the 12th of October 2019 all the participant teachers that will lead the ODYSSEY activities of the project in their schools are invited. During the training workshop, teachers will get acquainted with the Oxford debates format and its rules and they will be trained as judges of the debating contests through experiential activities. In addition, teachers will have the chance to get familiarized with the intellectual outputs of the project, they will learn how to build solid scientific arguments and communication techniques that will facilitate the transmission of arguments to the audience. Finally, the participant teachers will meet with their mentors and the members of the Pedagogical Scientific Board of the project in order to start the Odyssey trip in STEM education through debates!
