Building Bridges: Children and Parents in the World of Inclusion The workshop aims to cultivate empathy, collaboration, and acceptance between children and parents, emphasizing the idea that our differences make us special and that everyone deserves to be included in the community and that all over the world we will meet different types of people, cultures, nationalities and we have to accept them and have a good relationship with everyone. Each child and parent draws the outline of their hand on a colored sheet of paper, then decorates each hand with drawings or words that describe their unique traits. After all the hands are cut out, they are glued together on a large board, forming a “tree of inclusion” or a circle. This symbolizes that although each hand is different, together they form a united community.
