Step 1 – Introduction
Teacher briefly explains that Erasmus is a program where people from different countries meet, study, and share cultures.
Ask: “What is your favorite food? Do you think children in other countries eat similar or different food?”
Step 2 – World Food Map
On a big map of Europe (paper or board), place flags of different Erasmus countries (e.g. Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Poland, Germany).
Show one popular food from each country (with pictures or flashcards):
Italy – Pizza
Spain – Paella
France – Croissant
Greece – Tzatziki
Poland – Pierogi
Germany – Pretzel
Children take turns attaching the food picture/word to the correct country on the map.
Step 3 – “Our Shared Table”
Children draw or cut out pictures of their favorite food.
Glue all drawings on a large paper in the shape of a round Erasmus table.
Write: “Food brings us together – Erasmus connects us!” in the center.
Optional Extension
Role-play: each child pretends they are visiting a friend in another Erasmus country and shares what food they would like to try there.
