From Analogue to Digital: A panel discussion on safe and creative digital media education in schools How to make digital media education age-appropriate? When to start with it and how? Next to their right to digital tools, every child and young person should have the right to partake in healthy digital media education. But how can that be done? In this panel discussion, we will explore ways to design learning opportunities for children from kindergarten to secondary school age on safe and well-being-focused digital media education. This interactive panel will discuss how to prepare children and young people for a future where they are healthy and resilient citizens able to use the full range of digital media for their own education, participation in civil society, and the labour market. This panel is brought to you by the HERMMES project, and will include the coordinator of the project, Márti Domokos, and two teachers actively working on this topic – Hilary Siddons from Scuola Novalis in Italy and Pieter Bastin from the De Zonnewijzer in Belgium. The discussion will be moderated by Dora Šimunović from the European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education.
