Erasmus Dance Day

We will organize a Dancing Day aimed at introducing pupils to the diversity of European cultures in a playful and dynamic way. Throughout the day, the school will be transformed into a colourful dance floor filled with the rhythms of Spanish, Irish, and Slovak folk dances. All pupils—from 1st to 9th grade—will take part in the event with older pupils acting as instructors and guides for their younger classmates. This approach will not only encourage cooperation and inter-grade solidarity but will also help older students develop their presentation and communication skills. Each class will prepare one or more simple folk dances in advance, ranging from the lively rhythms of Spain and the cheerful steps of Ireland to the traditional Slovak “koliesko” and “karička”. Live musical accompaniment will create a vibrant atmosphere, allowing pupils to relax, have fun, and learn something new at the same time. The goal of the event is not only to promote physical activity, but above all to foster European awareness, strengthen team spirit, and bring to life the core values of the Erasmus+ programme—cooperation, inclusion, diversity, and mutual understanding.
