The Directorate of Secondary Education of Western Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Educational Counselors’ Office, is organizing an event to welcome teachers from Nice, France, specializing in Mathematics, to schools in Western Thessaloniki. The event will focus on job shadowing, resource and idea exchange, aiming at professional development in Mathematics. Key STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) will be presented, linking them to art, creativity, and innovation, while encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM fields. During the event, tools for educators will be showcased, such as online courses, networks (eTwinning, EPALE), and innovative teaching practices from the Greek educational system, which will be compared to those of the French system. There will be activities promoting pluralism and teamwork among educators, students, and Mathematics coordinators, as well as discussions on quality education in Mathematics.
